Main Function Your role in the team will be to build and drive the CIO Dashboard application development tasks. As the technical lead you will be responsible for performing development tasks in C# .Net in an IIS container using Flex to develop a RIA flash front end. Additionally you will manage the project tasks and timeline. The individual will produce code that will re-architect an existing application currently deployed in production. The re-architecting will include reusing existing components as well as rebuilding new components to extend the current application to allow the application to support other groups within the firm. The individual will use their advanced knowledge of web technologies and tools like C# / .NET, Web Services, XML and Flex to produce enterprise quality code for the development team. Along with building in new functionality, the application developer will ensure that the application meets the minimum requirements necessary to be deployed by the Enterprise Management Tools Team. Requirements will be funneled to the technical lead from the technical architect and the business analyst. The developer will then code to the required specifications to create a release that is scheduled on a rolling release cycle of approximately 8 – 12 weeks. In addition to coding responsibilities you will be required to manage the tasks, timeline and produce weekly reports on the project's progress. As a team lead you will be part of a team of 12 responsible for a subset of the team and the team's deliveries for the year. This position will afford the right person the opportunity to mentor and lead more junior team members. Additionally, the developer will be required to provide level 3 support when required. As with all projects at the firm, documentation is required to be produced for the development team and support resources by all development resources. | ||||||||||||||||

Position Summary:
The Project Manager will be customer focused, dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers, understands engineering and project management principles, willing to take strong and effective action to effectively manage capital investments, committed to continuous improvement, and a self-starter who anticipates/initiates and implements solutions. Responsibilities include:
• Manage the execution of capital investments $5MM to $100MM from FEL-1 through their entire life cycles. Perform tasks for multiple units or a very complex unit.
• Assume total project accountability for engineering, including: prioritization, scope development, risk assessments, directing and coordinating the personnel assigned to perform the process engineering, project management, detailed engineering/design, procurement, fabrication, construction, mechanical completion, unit commissioning and start-up, project controls (cost accounting, and scheduling for the project(s)), and project closure documentation (while following 6-Sigma and DFSS methodologies).
• Deliver project on time, in accordance with the scope of the project and within targeted costs.
• Use SAP and project management tools to cost-estimate, plan and execute project(s).
• Regularly report project progress to manager and project steering team. Identify any problems with cost over-runs or schedule delays to manager as early as possible.
• Maintain effective communication among internal process design team, contractors, during the term of the project(s).
• Work closely with the finance team to provide project evaluation and economic analysis on the capital investments for such managed project(s). Manage the overall effort leading to an approved Appropriation Request (AR).
• Responsible for the preparation of bid packages and requests for quotes for materials, equipment and services.
• Monitor and control projects to meet the stated objectives and metrics commitments in the AR.
• Responsible for forecasting and managing capital expenditures on a monthly basis.
• Oversee appropriate maintenance and records of all drawings, specifications, programs, and other documentation for such managed project(s).
• Provide support on the business Strategic Planning, Annual Operating Plan and the Six Sigma Initiatives, in order to develop the appropriate capital plans/budgets.
• An advocate for a strong safety awareness program with a consistent implementation of policies and procedures and participate in construction safety audits and contractor safety meetings.
• Experience with managing both cost plus and EPC & EPCm contracts.
Basic Qualifications:
• BS degree in Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineer with experience working in manufacturing plant.
• 15+ years experience of increasingly related responsibilities in the capital project management and execution process.
Additional Qualifications:
• MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
• Formal training and certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is desired.
• Experience working with large A&E firms (including off-shore).
• Strong working knowledge of chemical plant operations and processes.
