*Job description :*
- The main responsibility of Mechanical Design Team is to understand
and produce high quality designs and drawings in the field of
Blasthole Drills manufactured at Company.
- You will be responsible to work on Layout, design parts and create
Bill for machines.
- You will handle division tasks, interact with Engineers / designer,
present & discuss the proposed designs. To understand the build up of the
assemblies
- You will have continuous interaction with different Engineering
Departments of group companies.
- You will estimate the assigned jobs, work on different CAD packages
and deliver high quality job in specified time frame.
- You will be responsible to follow design codes, work instructions &
check lists on the tasks handled and carry out the cad checking.
- It will be your challenge to further develop & expand the scope of
activities while working as a good team member.
*Knowledge required :*
- Knowledge of Design Application skills.
- A sound knowledge in Oil hydraulics is a must.
- A very good drawing reading capabilities both in first angle / third
angle projections.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD -Inventor, Proengineer or any other 3d
software.
- Exposure in multinational working environment is an advantage.
- Work experience in a mining machinery manufacturing unit will
be preferred.

*Experience : *2-5 years in Design & Development of Construction and mining
industries / heavy equipment industries in which 2 years hands-on
experience on Pro-E.
*Job description : *The position requires a result oriented, dynamic person
who is expected highly skilled in product development as well as product
improvement in accordance with market demand and company strategy. Your
responsibilities will include :
- Design of sub systems/ modules for Surface Drilling Equipments
using Pro-E keeping the balance amongst design for performance, design for
assembly and design for cost.
- Work on design improvement projects based on the feed back from
the field or manufacturing in a time bound project frame as per the project
manual.
- Act as project leader/sub-project leader for defined and approved
projects.
- Support Assembly while building prototypes / first machines.
- Support Assembly, Sourcing and Quality Assurance teams to ensure
that the product is manufactured exactly as per the design specifications.
- Support factory for Product Maintenance, fixture development , cost
reduction projects etc.
- Effective communication with other global D & D centers for any
design related issues.
- Co-ordinate with sourcing and vendors for new developmental projects
for manufacturing.
*Knowledge required :*
- AUTOCAD and PRO-E.
- Manufacturing processes and their selection.
- Material grades, the significance of their chemical and physical
properties and material selection for the required use/ application.
- Hydraulics and pneumatics terminology and should be able to do the
calculations for motor, pump, hoses and hardware selection.
- Fits and tolerances selection for mating components
- Good analytical ability.
- Should be familiar with ERP System like SAP, BPCS.
- Well acquainted with laws and regulations regarding safety and
environment.
