In the marketing team at Google, you will help define and drive the future of advertising. The Internet and the mobile phone are fundamentally changing the way marketers and advertisers reach out to new audiences to promote their brands. In this role, you will own the marketing strategy and execution for one or more of Google's sales verticals. You will work closely with the sales teams to drive revenues from a wide range of advertisers using all of Google's advertising products -- from AdWords to Orkut to mobile. You will be expected to understand in marketing in depth and how marketers make decisions. You will work with external agencies on market research, creative and event-based projects. You will work closely with Google's sales, product and partnerships teams to build Google's business, in a fast, start-up like environment.
Responsibilities:- Design marketing strategy and own execution to help achieve revenue goal for one or more of Google's sales verticals in India.
- Deliver high impact events to educate the industry online advertising, drive leads and extend relationships with key clients and prospects.
- Design and commission thought leadership and commercial research for use with clients, agencies, and the press.
- Create case studies, sales pitches, and other collateral that optimally position Google's strengths as a marketing solution.
- Develop tools to support the sales team in building world-class pitches, demos, presentations and business cases.
- Devise ROI-maximising marketing programmes to optimise the delivery of clients and prospects throughout the funnel.
- Develop a world class marketing team through mentorship, recruitment and team-building activities.
- MBA from a premier institute. Fluency in English and ideally, at least 1 Indian language.
- Ideal candidate will have 5-8 years experience in consumer or B2B marketing, market research, and/or management consulting.
- Demonstrated capacity for developing and understanding strategy, analysing products, customers and market dynamics.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Strong creatve and analytical skills.
- Strong aptitude for determining the optimal way to position products in a market, ideally with experience supporting a sales force.
- Understanding of traditional marketing, as well as the search, online advertising, or web publishing markets.
- Understanding of Google's strategic and competitive position.
- Willingness to roll up one's sleeves and dig into details and execution.
- Passion for marketing, technology and the impact of technology on the future of marketing.
