Job Description:
• Senior .NET developer with a minimum of 5 Years .NET and C# to help with:
• Prototyping and developing next generating risk analysis tools using .NET 4.0 C#, VS 2010, and SharePoint 2010 with TFS 2010 for application lifecycle management.
• Tactical architecture and implementation work to shift MS Access / Excel VBA systems to industry leading insurance platforms.
• Managing BAU support across a portfolio of applications that leverage SQL server, .NET, and Excel/Access VBA.
• The candidate will perform complex design, development, testing, and documentation of a sophisticated portfolio of applications. This role requires a .NET SME with a passion for solutions architecture to develop and maintain innovative applications that provide a completive advantage for Torus Insurance.
Desired Profile:
Ability to provide architectural and technical guidance for a portfolio of insurance/ financial systems
.NET Framework 2.5 and above.
Excellent skills in ASPX, .NET/C# programming.
Proficient in SQL with data modeling experience.
Experience with database development and design using Microsoft SQL Server from a .Net Environment.
Full Life cycle process of development including testing & documentation.
Excellent communication skills including written and spoken English.
Ability to manage development of a complex portfolio of insurance/ financial system focused on risk analysis.
An analytical personality with an aptitude for problem solving and initiative.
Ability to balance strategic development with tactical day-to-day requirements.
Ability to manage software development.
Ability to provide management reporting.
Demonstrated ability to self-manage and follow up on initiatives and issues;
Thorough SDLC knowledge and experience.
Experience with SharePoint development and integration.
Working Knowledge of Web Services.
Knowledge of TFS.
Good knowledge of SOA principles.
