The Merchandising Item Solutions Team has an opportunity utilizing
cutting edge technology to develop high-profile, retail product
centric critical business applications that will be on the forefront
of Macy's Enterprise Priorities. Under general direction,
independently develops, modifies, and implements moderately to highly
complex information systems that are thorough and accurate and conform
to MST standards. Translates customer requirements, recommending
system solutions and formulating detailed specifications from which
programs are written. Independently researches and resolves more
complex technical problems. A top level technical contributor in one
or more highly specialized phases of application system analysis and
programming with strong business application knowledge. May serve as
primary system support for two or more complex information systems
based on in-depth system knowledge. May serve in the MST Solutions
Framework roles of Development Lead, Project Manager, Testing
Advocate, or Operations Advocate.

dissect complex technical problems into logical units, and offer
solutions that accurately resolve issues with a high degree of
quality.
•The candidate must be able to translate customer requirements
accurately, asking the appropriate critical questions, and developing
effective technical specifications.
Skills Summary:
•Candidate should have 5+ years of successful work experience as a
Development Lead or Senior Developer.
•Experience in .NET (ASP.NET, C#), MDX, SQL Server, SQL Server
Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS),
Microsoft Sharepoint and EXCEL Development.
•Additional Experience in VB, Java, Teradata, Unix, Solaris and/or
Linux experience.
•Candidate must have experience in defining strategy and direction,
execution of plans and handling large scale implementations; this
includes application development, design, conducting detailed code
reviews, and driving the application implementation.
•Candidate must have an ability to coordinate with multiple project
teams across multiple departments.
•Candidate must demonstrate the ability to build effective
relationships with management, technical teams, and third party
vendors, displaying verbal confidence in face-to-face situations.
•Candidate must display solid leadership qualities and demonstrate
ownership and accountability in all areas.
