Key Responsibilities
· Translate Business Requirements to System Requirements
· Project scope documents
1 Analyze and make recommendations for modification to applications and business procedures
2 Propose logical and physical system designs
· Build multi-tier software application using Microsoft .Net Framework (C#, VB.NET)
1 Work with the database developer on data requirement
2 Provide status update to project manager. Recognize and resolve unrealistic deadlines
3 Contribute to the design of projects where necessary
4 Ensure that work is completed to a sufficient level of quality
5 Estimate the project effort, schedule
6 Provide pre-implementation and post-implementation support to the systems and business teams
Essential Skills / Experience
· Familiar with the Mutual Fund and Investment Management industry, Fund Accounting and Holdings related processing.
· Specialist in Microsoft Technology:
· Visual Basic 6 (5 years)
1 .NET technology. C#, VB.Net, ADO.NET knowledge (3 years)
2 Macro using VBA (3 years)
3 Source control using SourceSafe / ClearCase (3 years)
· Experience using third-party .NET controls (such as grid and chart objects)
1 Knowledge of RDMS databases and use of ODBC and OLE DB to connect to these databases
2 Knowledge of software development life-cycle methodology
3 Experience of structured systems methodology and analysis tools such as UML, process-flow modelling and data-modelling is preferred though not essential
4 Experience with UI and Client Server Application
5 Experience with Issue Tracking Tool
Desirable Skills / Experience
- Knowledge of Unix and shell scripts
- Citrix Terminal Server/Remote Desktop
- Experience with third party market data vendors such as Bloomberg and Reuters
- Experience with messaging software such as Tibco or other event-drive application
- Experience of re-engineering legacy systems
- Experience of developing application frameworks
- Experience of writing and executing system test plan
- Experience with application and operation support
