Technical Solutions Engineers in the Product Specialist group work with our engineering teams to launch new products and enhance existing products with a focus on functionality that addresses the needs of Googles partners. Technical Solutions Engineers also help partners resolve complex technical issues, managing the escalation of those issues as a part of our mission to provide superior service to our partners.
Requirements:
Minimum of a BA/BS Computer Science or related technical degree (MSCS).
5+ years industry experience in Internet software development.
Complex coding in C/C++ or Java. Scripting in JavaScript, PHP, Python.
In-depth knowledge of HTML, XML/XSLT, HTTP, SSL, TCP/IP.
Hands-on experience in UNIX or GNU/Linux system administration and shell scripting.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrated multi-tasking ability.
Strong analytical skills.
Must be proactive, self-directed, detailed, and organized.
Must be able to learn quickly and get the job done in a high visibility, high stress situation.
Flexible with long-term stay and project engagement at other Google locations.
