Group Laeder/ Project Leader Software Development
Nature of Work:
At this level an individual is expected to:
Be responsible for the analysis, design and implementation of S/W systems.
Be responsible for one or more modules consisting of 8-10 team members
and for managing all issues relating to the team/ module(s).
Be involved in all Strategic Business Unit related matters.
Participate in integrated testing of Product/ Project.
Have thorough understanding of assigned Product/ Project.
Participate in review of technical documentation of project/ product.
Manage allocated resources, keep compliance with discipline and
decorum of the organisation.
Coach and mentor the junior members in the project and provide
necessary support to them.
Keep compliance with Newgen Quality Systems and Procedures
Technical Skills:
Thorough knowledge of current technological trends in the S/W
development industry such as OOP, Multi-Tier S/W development,
Component Architecture, Web-Based S/W.
Thorough knowledge of programming languages, OS, H/W capabilities and
one or more S/W specialty areas such as application packages, DBMS,
Middleware products, Networking and Communication.
Thorough knowledge of system integration issues.
Ability to perform system integration of S/W systems across
heterogeneous platforms.
Knowledge of Graphic User Interface design.
Ability to gather and analyze data & draw logical conclusions.
Ability to write technical articles and reports.
Ability to perform S/W and H/W benchmarks.
Knowledge of enterprise and system modeling.
Knowledge of Object-oriented analysis.
Managerial Leadership & Personal Skills:
Understanding of company vision & goals, business operations and market.
Clear and concise oral and written communication skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships at all levels.
Ability to inspire and lead other software engineers on their project
and on their projects within the organization and also the ability to
train and mentor more junior software engineers.
