Position Title: Project Lead.
Job Profile:
The product is one of very few companies offering a whole off-the shelf product for Online Trading and Online Sales solutions. This product provides Java Clients and Web interfaces, order management functionality and market execution on a number of electronic exchanges in one system. The Online segment is expanding due to an increased demand for distributed solutions.
As a Project Lead in Exchange Connectivity group, you will be working with our thin client based trading solution challenged by increased volumes and number for users for existing customers, new and more sophisticated product based financial end-user support. You will:
-Manage the entire project SDLC for effective completion and delivery of the project while ensuring compliance to processes and quality requirements.
-Create an environment where team members can work together effectively in a distributed development environment, while maintaining high levels of quality, productivity and commitment to timelines.
Role Description
In this role, you'll lead a team of developers, work closely with Stockholm office to develop and maintain mulltiple components in exchange connectivity area. Your main areas will be to work within Online Trading and Online Sales solutions in the Equity area.
Project Responsibilities:
Involve in the design (operational plan) of the project in collaboration with the Product Manager / Customer
Establish baseline requirements for the project with inputs from the Project Manager / client
Understand and monitor the scope of the project
Identify resource requirements (H/W,S/W,etc) for project execution and assist Project Manager in procurement activities of the same
Communicate with the BU/ Client for technical clarifications and project code & design related matters
Map complex functional specs to requirements to achieve project deliverables
Set goals and negotiate timelines for project execution by the team
Allocate and schedule tasks to team members as per project plan and reallocate based on progress and review of the project
Execute the project within pre defined timelines and quality requirements
Manage technical execution of the project
Conduct risk analysis and prepare action plans to mitigate the risks
Asist the team in carrying out all SDLC activities related of the project
Initiate and manage code walk through on a periodic basis to ensure adherence to requirements and error free coding
Document requirement specifications and code review results
Monitor and evaluate project performance to established goals, timelines and quality
Mandatory Skills
Java or Python, XSLT, XML, XPath, XQuery, Knowledge of OOPS concepts & design patterns, UML
-strong analytical ability and good at interpersonal relations.
-fluent in English
- good knowledge in Microsoft SQL Server or Sybase
-keen interest and exposure to financial markets
- Hands on experience on Windows Server environment and exposure to Unix/Linux
-Exposure to multi component systems, interfacing, messaging, various protocols
-Exposure to Agile development methodologies like Scrum
Desired Skills:
Basic knowledge of financial instruments like Stocks, Equity Derivatives, CFD and Bonds
-Understanding of concepts in financial industry like exchange and trading organization.
-As SCRUM is used as development process previous experience of this methodology is considered an advantage.
