Title: Unix Systems Engineer III

Description:
•10+ years of hands-on experience managing enterprise-level Linux installation (hundreds of servers)
•10+ years hands-on with each of RHEL3, RHEL4, SLES10, SLED10
•5+ years in-depth hands-on design experience with several major configuration management tools (e.g. CFEngine, Puppet)
•5+ years hands-on experience designing Linux implementations for large-scale qualified deployment
•5+ years hands-on experience with advanced Linux performance management on high-end x86 hardware
•3+ years hands-on experience with high-performance I/O design and management in Enterprise SAN (terabytes of disk)
•3+ years hands-on in-depth design of platform clusters (e.g. Heartbeat or MC/SG)
•5+ years in-depth experience with enterprise backups including 2+ years of RMAN and BRBACKUP tools
•2+ years experience with disciplined Service Design methodology (e.g. SDLC)
•2+ years doing advanced automation via scripting (e.g. Python, Perl, Shell)
•5+ years doing advanced trouble-shooting in a high-stress multi-vendor situation (e.g. million-dollar manufacturing lines)
•2+ years with well-known Disaster Recovery tools, either open-source or proprietary
•Demonstrated ability to work well in highly-siloed, multi-geographic team
•Demonstrated proficiency to create lengthy detailed documentation targeted at non-skilled audience
•Excellent interpersonal skills, both written English and oral English
