Electrical Engineer II

The C4IT BU currently has an opening for an ELECTRICAL ENGINEER II supporting our Tactical Vehicle Integration Prototype division in NORTH CHARLESTON, SC.

Job Duties/Responsibilities: Candidate will be responsible for the supervision and management of various projects, which entail design and analysis of electrical systems, equipment, and drawing packages. Candidate will lead different teams of employees with various skill sets (technician labor, drafting, technical writing, etc.) and be able to motivate said individuals to achieve a goal with precision execution in a very short timeframe. He/She will conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs. Will direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing, and prototype fabrication. He/She will provide design information for drafting of packaging documentation; work on problems of diverse scope; and administer company polices that directly affect subordinate employees. Candidate will determine methods and procedures to be used on new assignments and will serve in a lead role and provide guidance to personnel. He/She will recommend changes to team policies and contribute to the development of the organization's goals and objectives. Candidate will routinely interact with outside customers and functional peer groups.

Education/Experience Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) with a minimum GPA of 3.5 (on a 4 point scale) with at least five (5) years of direct experience with electrical / mechanical systems in a formal DoD environment are strictly required. Candidate must have proven management experience working in a face paced, high stress environment and solid track record in personnel leadership (i.e. specifically responsible for subordinates discipline / evaluations, not just lead a team of peers). Must be very capable of multi-tasking and working several complex and diverse tasks with simultaneous or near simultaneous deadlines in a dynamic, fast paced environment. Candidate must also be well organized, punctual, reliable, conscientious, and capable of managing resources and schedules which affect deadlines and fiscal health of a project with no compromise to the technical / engineering aspects. Candidate selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
