Core Skills (Mandatory)
* Solid knowledge of Core Java and J2EE technologies, in addition to frameworks like Spring, Hibernate (any ORM framework)
* Strong command of Application Servers like Websphere especially from a solution design perspective, experience in designing high availability, secure multi-tier applications
* Expert level knowledge of XML technologies, specifically in parsing using tools like JAXP, defining and using XSDs and XSL.
* Experience in EAI using Websphere MQ/JMS and integration of applications across multiple technologies/platforms.
* Strong background in setting up build / dev / automation tools.
* Strong experience of defining build-plans and scripting/configuration using Maven/Ant, TeamCity / Buildforge.
* Ability to create and communicate designs using UML, solid command of standalone and enterprise application design patterns, ability to define and articulate the best possible approach to a problem
* Ability to create, define and own frameworks with a strong emphasis on code reusability.
* Ability to define and implement the architecture and guiding principles from project inception to implementation to production deployment, predict potential technical bottlenecks and risks.
Additional Skills
* Websphere Message Broker (WMB), Struts, ETL technologies e.g. Informatica, Control M / AutoSys, SOA, Web 2.0 technologies, PERL/Python, Spring security and web flows, JSF, JQuery
