Product Marketing Manager - Consumer



This position is based in Gurgaon, India.

The Internet and the mobile phone are fundamentally changing how people interact with each other, and with the world around them. At Google, we are looking for marketing professionals who are entrepreneurial, creative, analytical, and above all, passionate about the impact of technology on people's lives - to shape this change in India.

In this role, you will own the marketing strategy and execution for one or more of Google consumer products (across search, apps and social networking), and be responsible for driving product awareness and usage. You will be expected to understand marketplace dynamics, design and execute promotional campaigns, work with product teams to launch new products, liaise with partners on co-marketing initiatives, and work with external agencies on creative and event-based projects. You will work closely with Google's sales, product and partnerships teams to build Google's business, in a fast, start-up like environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Ownership of marketing strategy and product promotion success for one or more of Google's consumer products in India.
  • Design and execution of online, offline and partner co-marketing campaigns for Google's consumer products.
  • Devising ROI-maximizing marketing programmes to meet product awareness and usage objectives.
  • Creating messaging, case studies, product pitches that optimally position the strengths of our products.
  • Defining and commisioning research studies to gain knowledge about user attitudes and behavior.
  • Supporting Google's growth and revenue generating efforts.
  • Developing a world class marketing team through mentorship, recruitment and team-building activities.
Requirements:
  • MBA from a premier institute. Fluency in English and Ideally, at least 1 Indian language.
  • Ideal candidate will have 5-8 years experience and a strong background in product marketing, online marketing, or management consulting.
  • Demonstrated capacity for developing and understanding strategy.
  • Passion for analysing products, customers and market dynamics.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong creatve and analytical skills.
  • Strong aptitude for determining the optimal way to position products in a market.
  • Understanding of the search, online advertising, or web publishing markets.
  • Understanding of Google's strategic and competitive position.
  • Passion for marketing, technology and the impact of technology on people's lives.
