Job Description:

The Program Manager will be responsible for working in partnership with the Corporate Cross Functional Teams to coordinate on time and on budget delivery of all aspects of multiple and concurrent software development projects from initial project approval through transfer to manufacturing, first production and release. This includes management of relationships with all internal and external functional contributors and planning and coordination of cross functional project activities with local/remote resources as well as with contract development partners.
Organization and leadership of engineering project teams that will define program plans, track the progress of all the program deliverables and milestones versus original goals, drive issue resolution and risk planning activities and release products with excellent quality standards.

Proactive communication of status to raise issues and propose solutions to problems, including coordination with functional managers to resolve issues as efficiently as possible.
Ensuring that all appropriate documentation, requirements, design and test specifications and other required lifecycle deliverables are created and team reviewed and deemed approved.
To assess satisfaction of completion criteria for deliverables and milestones, to provide periodic management review of programs that measure progress of planned schedule versus actual schedule and to ensure that exit criteria are met when moving to the next phase.


Qualifications:
BS/MS Computer Science or relevant engineering degree preferred, with a thorough understanding of hardware and software development practices.
  5 years industry experience leading multi-discipline, cross-functional software product development programs for enterprise or carrier markets including multi-site project development exposure and a proven track record of successful program management and a demonstrated ability to organize, lead and manage across functions and organizations..
  Must possess a proven ability to manage multiple projects (with varying levels of complexity) from startup to successful completion (on-time, within budget, while meeting project specifications).
  Individual needs to be a results oriented self-starter with excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and excellent project and personal organizational skills.
  Must be a team player/leader with a demonstrated ability to communicate with skills in leadership, communication, initiative, planning, organization, problem solving and multi-tasking with all levels of co-workers and outside vendors.
  Skilled in use of MS Project, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
