Summary:
This position will take a primary leadership role with the off-shore team from a technical perspective on all projects assigned to the development team. This position will assist with coordinating communication between the off-shore and on-shore teams. In addition to providing programming support this position will be responsible for ensuring all work products performed by the off-shore team have been reviewed and meet requirements specifications.
Responsibilities
- Review all deliverables and coding from the off-shore development team
- Ensure adherence to Mercer coding standards and best practices
- Ensure adherence to design and architecture parameters
- Coordinate communication between off-shore and on-site teams
- Create high and low level design documents
- Provide programming support
- Insure system documentation is completed
- Conduct code reviews
- Be able to work a flexible schedule to accommodate off-hours conference calls
- Assist with the preparation of build documents and deployment documents
- Interact with the user community on system and requirement issues
- Work with limited supervision while providing constant feedback on project status and deadlines
- Mentor and lead developers
Requirements:
Candidate must be self-motivated and be able to work well in a team environment demonstrating proven leadership skills. Candidate must have the ability to deliver a top quality product in a timely fashion while leading teams of varied backgrounds.
- Minimum 6-10 years demonstrated experience in application development
- Minimum three years leadership of a technical team required
- Demonstrated experience in C#, Visual Studio.NET, ASP.NET, PL/SQL, Client-Side JavaScript, and HTML
- Experience with XML, Web Services
- Experience developing multi-tier Internet/Intranet applications
- Demonstrated analytic and design capabilities
- Working knowledge of database design
- Experience with Oracle a plus
- Knowledge of Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) a plus
- Ability to communicate in English both written and verbal
- Self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Fast learner, quality consciousness and committed to deadlines
- Highly effective communicator via email & telephone
- Experience working in a multinational development team
