JOB TITLE – TOMCAT CONFIGUARATION EXPERT
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Review existing Tomcat / JBoss Configuration in the production server on a day to day basis
- Review Tomcat / JBoss log files and alert the stakeholders if there are any issues
- Review request pattern to the web servers
- Suggest parameter fine-tuning according to the changes in usage pattern
- Evaluate the later versions of Tomcat and provide appropriate recommendations
- Build a team capable of carrying out the above activities
- Application profiling
- Fine tuning OS and database performance parameters that has a direct bearing on Web and app servers performance
- Review and suggest optimal deployment scenarios
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- BTech/BE/MCA or equivalent qualifications with 6+ years of experience
- Experience in managing large-scale Tomcat/JBoss deployments on a clustered environment with hardware load balancers
- Exposure to sizing servers – CPU, memory and disk space
- Good experience in administering Hardware and Software load-balancers
- In-depth knowledge in Tomcat Web Server 5.5 and above
- 2-3 years experience in administering JBoss application Server
- 3-5 years experience in J2EE 1.4 and above
- Experience in performance fine-tuning of app / web servers
